"I did it Momma, I did it"

I am not sure where to stop, begin, or if I have ever stopped. HONESTLY, from the words of my almost two year old "I did it momma, I did it!!!". That is what I will be able to say in ALMOST a month. I DON'T think I am going to give my "I did it "re-cap" quite yet. When I sit down to think of it all, I am amazed at the "HUGE SUPERWOMAN" cape that God gave me. However, I am gladly letting him have it back at the end of this year because I am going to let 2012 be more of "cruise control year" as Matt and I like to call it. I have just a few more things to accomplish in the next few weeks then for the big re-cap, but I have decided 2011 has been one of the biggest and best years yet!

School is around the corner. I knew as soon as it ended, it was going to start again because Summer was just..... well........ busy is not the best word but all I can come up with it. Let the fun begin though...new school for me, new school for CK, lots of new friends to be made, parties with neighbors, our absolute favorite cottage, favorite local restaurants, fall weather (I know its far off, but maybe talking about it will get it here faster, LOL), 35 days until the first Bama game, cute fall clothes, MY BOOTS.. YAY... tried to pull them off up until May but after that it got a little weird looking when it is 95 degrees out, PUMPKIN coffee from DD, leaves changing, the smell of fall, and the list goes on. I am super excited, super happy, and definitely blessed beyond!!!!!

And last but not least... Tampa Peeps come see me!!! The Fall is already looking to be a super full and busy one. I am so excited! I already have lots of visits planned from my friends coming to visit and football games to go to, it is going to be a fun Fall!!

Re-cap coming soon because more happened than I ever even blogged about!!!! Here are a few cute pics of my little lovey because it has been awhile since I have posted any.

Getting ready for a fun filled day! We went to a few places with Gammy then to get yogurt that night. At the end of the pictures you will see how she looked after getting yogurt. Definitely not this cute still, LOL
Boo-boo band-aids, she is obsessed with them

Hooters balloon, believe it or not, they have a great Hooters salad, haha! Thanks Jacki for getting me hooked on that one

This "after shot" really doesn't do the whole picture justice. We were at our favorite weekly spot "Tutti Frutti" and she covered her white denim skirt in chocolate yogurt, shirt was covered in yogurt, so she was now in a diaper, with a short shirt, converse, dora band-aids, and yes a dora sticker on her forehead that she refused to move! Oh boy, did that look classy!!!!

Can you believe I can finally get piggy tails!!!! They are small (hint that is the part is soooo off) but we were lucky I got them in! The top of her hair still needs to grow, but we are getting there! I love piggy tails too!!!
My most favorite cute new Bama dress yet! So vintage and I love the elephant. I put it with pink but once football starts, she will only have red converse and red bows in her hair with this cute outfit. It's a little big, room to grow, but not sure if I will ever give this outfit up! I love the bow on the shoulder too.

My parents kept CK several days because I just wasn't feeling too great... here is a picture mom took. My baby loves to read books in her bed!!!!

My Little Bubble!

This is my mantle and the frame itself is 41x46, yes it is huge!!! However it is NOT NOT FINISHED!!!! I know this is a HUGE deal for me to post pictures of things NOT finished, but I just love it! I have to distress it and once I do that, it is going to be even more gorgeous! The picture is just "sitting" in the frame. After I distress it, I will hang it, but I love it!!! Many more to come for sure!
Lots of people can make these, but I like to do my "own work" because I have my "own ideas". Ask my mom.... I have always been this way. That can be good and bad (remember the blue jogging suit??)
SO HERE IS THE REAL POST....

I call it my "bubble" because I really do not have to leave my bubble for ANYTHING. NOW that is what I have always wanted!!!! I wanted that in Tampa in Hyde Park, but now I got something even better... Homewood! My Tampa Peeps never did understand why I loved Hyde Park so much but they are all coming to visit me this Fall and I think they will see why very soon!

Well here are some pictures of the little old cottage that I have dreamed about for a long time, this just didn't happen overnight. I didn't randomly pick this place and decide to come here, it has been in the works for quite some time or quite some years. Now if this was MY HOUSE and I wasn't renting it, I would change lots of things, paint colors, kitchen counters and appliances, etc... but I can't so everything I have done has involved the furniture or accessories.... items that we can take WITH US when we move. I just love love love it! Still a few more things to do to the house, but overall, we are getting there. We keep starting projects and changing things every week/day but that is what I love to do. Thank goodness I have a husband who doesn't mind doing that for me. It also helps that I know the most amazing woman who can make anything and upholster anything. (Karen she likes to make us "pillars") My motto... I always search until I find someone or learn how to do it myself. I don't like to give up, LOL. So here is our little place to live in our little "bubble"!!!
My favorite thing is how BRIGHT and AIRY the whole place is. So much natural light. Notice the mantle.... that was BEFORE the big frame appeared so it has already changed within a day that I took the pictures.
I have already bought and changed new lamps, but still same concept

You see why it has taken so long for me to post pictures???? I took these pictures and within ONE day I had already rearranged, moved pictures, lamps, etc.... It is always changing!!!!!

My new chair fabric... horrible picture but it is a very muted, Anthropologie turquoise leopard. I have never seen anything like it. LOVED IT!!!

I thought the chair turned out really cute!!!

I have always wanted a really long hallway with a mirror at the end
Our bedroom suit was completely refinished and painted to a gray with lots of distressing. We changed all the knobs to dark. I LOVED how it turned out. I got all new bedding and wanted to keep it simple. Of course, I added a turquoise pillow in one picture and wasn't sure so I may get another solid white pillow, the key is simple and not cutesy.

Ignore the cords on the wall, those have yet to be hidden. No time for that yet!

I should take pictures inside all the closets, amazing how much I was able to get in them, but they are very tall and have more room than you would think. I did still have to store some stuff outside and in the garage, but I got a lot more inside than I thought.

I just love this kitchen! It is bigger than it looks. If I could only change the countertops to dark and the appliances to stainless it would be perfect!

My cute little desk that was re-done with new handles, a painted top, and of course a new recovered chair

Charlee Kate's room was pretty much left the same as it was in Tampa. I like it all still but it won't be long before she will go to a "big girl room" and everything will change so I kept it how it was until that time comes.

My favorite upholstered antique chair. I have several but only room for this one. I love it! I think mom found me a super small one for Charlee Kate that I can upholster. Oh how that makes me excited!
There is a story behind this swing that I have wanted for years and years!!! The pictures doesn't even begin to do it justice but it is amazing. It is NOT FINISHED yet. YES ANOTHER UNFINISHED PICTURE, WOW! The pillows are yet to come but this will give you some idea about it. It weighs about 150 pounds so it is definitely not the smallest thing, but I don't think we own anything small. Just ask all our wonderful friends and family who have had to pick up our furniture. Not sure how that always happens.
Give me a week or so and there will be pillows and bamboo shades and it will be a whole new place

Our cute little street that I just absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

I think we just may stay put for awhile. What are the chances that these people will sell this to us to renovate??? Only time will tell!!!!

On top of all the fun we have had this summer, I have been under the weather a lot the last few days and let me just say my husband is a very good nurse! I don't think there is anything he CAN'T do!!!
