Seattle by Ferry.... was the next stop!

**KEEP IN MIND*** This post was written yesterday (Thursday) but I never sent it. Now I am flying home and had time to send it because I am on the plane. You have to love in flight wi-fi!!!

Time to head into the city! It is so fascinating to see how different God creates the world. Everything here is just so different from what we are used to in the South. I have made several trips to the West Coast so I have seen this, but it is always so different no matter where we go. Some of it is so nice to see and visit because I would not want my everyday life to be like this.

The ride on the ferry was exciting. We drove our car up, parked it on the ferry, then it took about 40 minutes into the city. It was gorgeous as we were able to see the view of the city skyline coming in.
What the ferry looks like that we took in

Here is one view but this is basically how all the houses looked in Seattle. They all sat on the hill.
This day it was raining as we pulled onto the Ferry. The picture below is where we park our cars on the boat while we went upstairs. They had a restuarant, free wi-fi, etc... up there. I guess that is what some people do every day, drive their car on the boat, eat on the boat, surf the internet on the boat, WOW... just another way of life.
Riding on the ferry!

After arriving, we drove through the city stopping at several places along the way. We ended up at the University Shopping Center, which has great shops. We ate lunch at a cool sushi place there. Very Different. We didnt realize how many asians lived in seattle so the asian cuisine is pretty good no matter where you stop.

This was not your normal Tiffany & C. It was all "wood" looking, very different.
Our really cool sushi place!
After a fabulous lunch and the organic mini donuts they had...which were quite yummy...we headed to urgent care. Yes jeremy had been sick for 4 days so we went to get him some meds. Turns out he tested negative for the flu, but had bronchitis and could have had a mild case of the flu. However, the doctor prescribed meds so we got them! He has visited the ER before in New York City so this was just par for the course. I found a drugstore by the hotel to get meds. There just happened to be the flagship Nordstroms right next door as well. No problem waiting for meds... I just took a little time to shop. We were tired by the end of that day (Tuesday) so we were in bed early. We are staying at a fabulous hotel that is literally 1 block from every store and every place imaginable! That was soo exciting!

Wednesday involved just walking the city. Despite all the weather reports, it was gorgeous all day! We shopped, shopped, shopped, ate at Pike Place Market, and walked about 8 miles.

The very first Starbucks ever. This was pretty neat to see

It was super nice. I haven't been able to just walk in anywhere and shop on my own time in awhile. Jeremy was feeling so much better and had more energy than he had in days. It was nice that our first couple of days were at the resort just relaxing. I can't tell you the last time I had 12 hours of sleep 2 days in a row. It probably won't happen again for awhile, LOL

Today... Thursday, was just finishing up whatever we wanted to do in the city. Being 3 hours behind makes me feel like I have all the time in the world! I am up by 5:00 or 5:30 West Coast time b/c that is 8:00 or 8:30 East Coast time. Then we are in bed by 7:00 West Coast time, yet I have all this extra time!!! In a few.... Jeremy wants to watch some of the b'ball games, while I maybe shop across the street, then dinner at the Seattle Needle! Can't wait for that! It will be a great way to end the trip.
We stopped to eat the famous Beechers where they make their own cheese. It was amazing to watch, but I didn't eat too much of my meal. Something about seeing the process of cheese being made was not very appetizing.

This was the last picture I took throughout the day shopping... of course a favorite place to stop in, but it was a nice looking LV. Never hurts to go in... you never know what you may find! I liked it : )

We fly out super early tomorrow morning, which I am so thankful for. I can't wait to get home and see my baby girl! I have a feeling she will have a hard hard time when her Gammy leaves. Saturday is a big day for her... her first fashion show at Neiman Marcus. We will see how she does : )

More posts to come... but that is all I have in me for now!
