Christmas letter 2013

Christmas letter 2013

Our card this year will be a New Years card and a birth announcement. It will go out in January with our Christmas letter. Here is our Christmas letter....

I hope this letter finds each of you well. 2013 was a very blessed year for our family and one that I am so thankful for. Our blog is the best way to keep up with us… Blog address: http://watchasthewilsonfamilygrows.blogspot.com/

Our year was full of many great things! This was typed and ready a little early… end of November. I knew December would be filled with lots of joy and surprises, the most exciting… Baby Wilson’s arrival.  It’s amazing how this place is our place to call home! Homewood has become our home, where Charlee Kate and baby Wilson will grow up, where we go to church, enjoy the community, enjoy our neighborhood and neighbors,  and just to make home. A place that you call home doesn’t happen overnight, it takes time. We are so excited that THIS  is our home!

Charlee Kate is so full of life, energy, and definitely independence.  It’s amazing how her
little personality can continue to change and grow. She has the sweetest little heart and doesn’t
want to see anyone hurting or upset. She loves her friends and thrives with routine. There are
plenty of timesthat we have spontaneous things that happen, but changing classes, schools,
Sunday school classes, etc… takes a little time for her. She gets used to things and likes to leave it
that way. Our  family has been so blessed that she has a wonderful school, teachers, and friends.
This year ESPECIALLY she has just taken every single thing in. She is like a sponge.  Her
imagination is still HUGE and she and can play for hours by herself if she wants or with someone.
She loves to talk to herself, create things that are happening, and “parent” her babies. She remembers
everything and will repeat it in her imaginary play or with her imaginary friends. She is such a big girl
and I have to let her grow up, but it is not easy.

Jeremy and I celebrated our 12th anniversary in April. We had a great year with traveling! Jeremy made it to Miami for another Bama National Championship. That is such a “routine” thing for him the past few years, that when that one ends, he will be sad! Our trips included a last minute random one to Tampa and Orlando. We had to check on things in Tampa so we were able to visit friends, visit some of our favorite places there, and then take Charlee Kate to Magic Kingdom one day. That was magic in itself… to see her face with all the Disney princesses and how magnificent Disney World is! One day was PLENTY for her! I definitely want to take her back again, and I know she wants to go back again, but we will wait a little while longer until she is older. So many other things we still want her to see. Jeremy and I took a trip to Park City, UT. AMAZING to say the least. We really wanted to do this in the fall, but that was going to be close to my due date and we did not need to be that far away so we went at the end of the summer. I loved it! It will be a place that we will visit as often as possible.  Our family still had lots of beach and lake house time. I must say, just being at home, relaxing…has been so wonderful this year. Something we definitely needed after the renovations, fertility treatments, etc…

This year has and will be one of the best yet! God is blessing us with this baby to complete our little family. What a blessing it truly has been! The best part of it all, is how truly blessed we are to have our family, friends, health, and be back home!  It’s going to be a busy next few weeks and months with a new baby in the family, but there will still be blog posts to keep you updated. We truly hope that you and your family have also had a blessed year and have a very Merry Christmas.
