Hump Day and it came fast!

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living." I am grateful to be back home!

What a great, busy, productive, exciting, frustrating, stressful, amazing, happy, (some sad), exhausting, year it has been so far and we hope that the years to come are just as fantastic, yet not nearly as crazy and busy!!!

Here are a few pictures from the week : ) Even through all the business, I am MAKING time to take pictures of Charlee Kate each day. This is for Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday and Friday are yet to come then her party! YAY!!!

Preschool and Happy Birthday Baby Blake!

So my baby girl has had 2 fabulous days at preschool the last few days. She has walked right in smiling and ready to go. She LOVES her teacher Miss Rena and talks about her. That makes a mommy feel good! However, Jeremy has been taking her but I will have to take her 2-3 days this week when he is gone. We will see if she walks right in smiling still. That little squirt likes to put on a show for mommy and make it hard on me but hopefully she won't!

In the meantime today... my best friend Jenn had her little baby girl, Ashlee Blake. They are calling her "Blake". She is precious and has gorgeous coloring and tons and tons of dark dark hair. So sweet! We went to see them tonight and Jenn looked great, felt great, and I got to hold baby Blake for a long time. Charlee Kate wasn't too sure of mommy holding that baby though!!! They will be playmates before long. Charlee Kate sort of liked Baby Blake, but she was so much more excited about seeing Jenn, haha!

Sunday Routine

Well we are just about into our "sunday routine". We attend the 8:30 service at church, then there is 9:40 Sunday School, so that means we are done by 10:45. I love that feeling! Jeremy and I would always do p90x about 6:00am and then get ready for church. Now that our "garage gym" is about finished, we will probably start that back up in a few weeks. That means by 10:45 on Sundays, we have the whole day to do whatever, which will include lunch somewhere in our bubble. There were several places in Mt. Brook and a few other areas that we still want to eat at, but we have so many in our bubble we have not even been to yet! I guess we have all the time in the world to eat at these fantastic places because we are here to stay. Today involved going to car lots and browsing. It has SOOOOO been time that we find something bigger, even though I do NOT want to give up my car!!! However, we went to 3 fantastic car lots and NOTHING. Nothing I loved, which is crazy! Few more places to go, but I had to put in some brand new mats in the car until I can decide on something. This is not like me to NOT have an idea either!! It will hit me and then I will be set. On Friday night we decided to take a WALK to dinner, it was so nice! Once it cools off, I have a feeling we will be walking everywhere, to church, to take Charlee Kate to school, to eat, and even to some of my favorite shops!!!! BRING ON THE FALL WEATHER!

So a few more random thoughts....

Today at church, my little girl looked so cute and I totally forgot to get a picture. So mad! She had her cute purple giraffe dress on, her hair is getting much easier to pull up, and then she insisted on the purple fuzzy flip flops so I gave in, because honestly they did look cute! Her class at church is the same as her school class so it was a little confusing, but I love the fact that her teachers on Sunday are the SAME every week. That makes it so much easier and she does a little craft and has a snack. Now to most southerners that have lived here, that is not a shocker for church, but for someone who has been in Florida, that is not what we are used to. I am glad to have that back. We did see our superintendent Dr. Cleveland at church and he always speaks! So nice for someone who has only met me twice to remember who I am and speak. What a great place to be! Funny thing is, I saw some people with the bible loaded on their IPADS and that is what they brought. Technology just amazes me (while frustrating me too!) The only thing I have to adjust to is the pastor. Don't get me wrong, he is wonderful!!!! However, he does speak a little more "southern baptist" and I was used to Pastor Greg. He was good!

So we are hoping the rest of our sunday afternoon will be relaxing! Last night as Jeremy and I were laying in bed, he ask "how have we missed this little piece of heaven for 10 years!!!". Yes we are talking about the temperpedic mattresses and pillows. They are just heavenly!!! We should have made that investment a long time ago! Busy week ahead, hopefully some blogging pictures! I will get better! I have two best friends that are having their babies this week and Charlee Kate's birthday party this upcoming weekend. Lots of fun ahead!!!

A much needed weekend.

Whew... we made it through the first full week with kids and the first 2 weeks of school. I am pooped and so ready for a weekend! Our week has consisted of work, getting Charlee Kate used to Preschool, Open House at school, doc appointments, and thats about it because there is not much time for anything else. I can barely squeeze in a Walmart trip. I am so ready for this routine to really set in so I can have a normal life back. There is definitely no "likes" on FB at this moment, LOL! Frankly no likes on anything, no online browsing, this pinterest thing... which is a cute idea, DEFINITELY no time for browsing that, even though it would be fun, so the blogs are just blah. Not too much to post I guess. I am not sure how I did it 2 years ago. 9 months preggo, starting school, still exercised at 9 months preggo (still do now, but something about doing at 9 months seems more like an accomplishment) and going nonstop with a big pregnant belly. So why in the world was I dragging more today when I am not pregnant, LOL! Can't figure out what to blame it on. Its Friday though and what a fabulous feeling! I got so excited though, new blinds on the house, the garage gym gets finished and several new pieces of the house I was waiting on are in and getting closer to completion.

Charlee Kate stayed with mom and dad last night because we had friends in town, but I can't wait to get her back. I feel like its been a crazy week and I can't wait to get my baby girl back. I have a few more pictures of her I will post this week. This random post was done in the car. I have to multi-task to get anything done. I have so many cute ideas of things I would like to do, but it just isn't happening quite yet. Until then it's HAPPY WEEKEND for SURE!!!
New pillows all in all! I love them!
New knobs that are turquoise/purplish!
This is on our porch across from the swing
Pictures from Jennifer's baby shower WEEKS AND WEEKS ago, but I am just now posting! Sweet Baby Blake will be here in 2 days! YAY!!!

Preschool

Here is a glimpse into "Our world and my thoughts". I know this blog can sometimes be sort of boring (except to maybe my mamma and Jeremy's), but this is just what is happening in our life. I can make my blogs into a scrapbook so sometimes I just like to blog about our thoughts, happenings, and our world. Here is the latest!!!!

My baby's first day of "real school". I was worried, not sure what to think or how my baby girl would do on her first day of Preschool, but there again, GOD HAD IT ALL PLANNED OUT! She went right into her class, DID NOT CRY, and had a wonderful day! The only few downfalls that she had was wanting her "ba-ba" all day, but that is a much easier fix. Oh and I let her wear her glitter TOMS, my favorite, and they hurt her feet so she was bare foot a good bit of the day, LOL. That means she will need to wear those only on special occasions. She did get some new "real tennis shoes" for school though. Check out the picture at the bottom. She loved it and if my baby is happy, then mommy is happy! I was a little worried how day 2 would go, but she went right in, still loving it. When I called to check on her I heard that she was talking to every kid, playing, and just fit right in. They were amazed that she had never been in school before because she has adjusted so well. It has been one of the best things for Charlee Kate. Jeremy and I really expected her to be exhausted the last 2 days because she naps 2 hours earlier than she used to, gets up a little earlier, and is going all day. Nothing fades our little girl though. She can GO, GO, GO!!!!!! Here are a few pictures. I was so rushed that day to get to my school on time and I missed half of the pictures I wanted so I will be taking more as the week goes on.

We had dinner with Jenn, Michael, and Jace on Sunday night. After a lot of playing (and the nasty smelling bug spray because of all the skeeters), we put the kids in the bath for popcicles and to smell good! They loved it!

Nothing like cute gray new balance, but trimmed in hot pink is even better! I love them for her school tennis shoes when she needs them. Along with all her many converse. I love those too!

I love a good Saturday!

Today was just one of those absolutely wonderful Saturdays of never leaving the house and just getting so much done, yet having fun!!! It all started with a "ring from the IPAD". It was Kevin and we were going to let the kids talk! You can tell she just woke up. She didn't sleep in that tee, but I love it. Some sweet friends of ours gave her a welcome to homewood tee, with the vintage bike and it says "Homewood". Super cute! Charlee Kate still can't figure it all out for sure, but it was so cute to see Hunter and Ella and Charlee Kate all talking! So cute!

Next was painting! Yes I seem to do tons of that! Jeremy thinks the only thing we have left that isn't I haven't repainted in our house is the refrigerator, LOL! I do have CK's bed, but that will be AFTER she no longer needs it and I am saving it for the next baby. Anyways, I painted all kinds of things, but a couple of school items too. I let Charlee Kate paint this shelf with her watercolors before I painted it. She loved it but then painting the furniture got boring so she just painted herself. She absolutely loved it!!!

Jeremy worked on the garage for several hours reorganizing! He can organize a garage really well, but now it looks super good and it is half "work out" room! I love it and so does he! We have to get our flooring back from the Lake house but then it will be complete. After all the fun, Charlee Kate was so exhausted that she took a 3 hour nap. It was the best Saturday just to hang out and go NO WHERE!!!!!!!

She started painting her daddy's toes. Cute uhh? At least she has my funky taste and kept it a fun color

She looks like an Indian!
After she had painted forever, she decided to play in her pool! She loves this pool and we just let her go in a diaper. After awhile, mommy had to join her, but we did NOT take pictures of that.

I love....

1. The fact that tomorrow is Friday!!! (Yes that feeling is officially back)
2. I get to see my baby girl tomorrow after 6 days!!!!!!
3. I got to have a fabulous date night with Jeremy and I had the best ahi tuna!!!
4. I saw Jenn and Michael as we were driving out of Target (I love that we can "run" into them)
5. That I ran into Lindsay TWICE this week. Once at our favorite store... Anthropologie and once at one of our favorite restaurants. And.... the last time we were at this restaurant was 8 years ago with Lindsay and Todd then we run into them again the first time we go back. WOW, how crazy!!!!!
6. The weather Sunday night through Tuesday is actually just a high of 87 and a low of 66. WOW, for August, I will take it!
7. No one talks about my southern accent anymore
8. I technically never have to leave my "bubble" during the week, means low riding time, very little gas, and time for something else to drive since I am in my car so very little.
9. Football season is literally just a few weeks away!
10. Jeremy will be here all next week for Charlee Kate's first week of school. It does help that I never have to ask him or even mention for him to help with Charlee Kate. He does just as much as I do and always has. Barbara, you raised him well!!!!
11. Last but not least, it is going to be a restful weekend and I need that after the first week of school AT A NEW SCHOOL and with a new grade level.
