It's been a busy one!

Wow, I didn't realize this weekend would be so crazy! Friends, I promise I am still alive, just a busy fun weekend, well WEEK!. I can't remember having one so crazy in a long time! We had 2 fun birthday parties, our neighborhood progressive dinner party (which was a tacky party, LOL), did some Christmas shopping, Jeremy did some outside work, normal everyday things at home, made sure everything was ready for NYC, cooked, and just playing in between. Charlee Kate had her first sitter for Birmingham Saturday night and she was SO EXCITED for Miss Jenna to come. Miss Jenna used to be her teacher at Dawson and she is finishing up her education degree. She is super sweet and Charlee Kate just loves her! I have her lined up for several occasions.

I just keep praying for the weeks to go by slow and enjoy so much of this season. We are truly enjoying every second of it!!! I think I have decided to go ahead with Angel on a Shelf (this is the Christian version to Elf on a Shelf). Charlee Kate may still be too young for it, but I just want her to get the concept of the angel watching over her, etc... We talk about Angels all the time and she loves them that is why I am thinking it may be a good idea. Not sure! I have definitely been in the Christmas spirit (for months now), but on Friday my classroom turned into Christmas for sure. My students and I decorated it, put up the Christmas tree, and all kinds of things. I could just see the excitement in their faces when they walked in and I had it all out. I loved it!!! Jeremy finally made it home from Orlando late Friday night and I even noticed a suspicious package under the tree. I tell him it is easy for me to notice because all of them match so when something wrapped a little different shows up, I know someone went Christmas shopping besides me! He says Charlee Kate did, but based on her shopping experience, she has done pretty good in the past with blue and brown boxes! Speaking of wrapping, I am sure this is my last year of this, but funny how I can wrap her own gifts in front of her and she has no clue, LOL. The gift thing is still not the biggest deal to her yet. I know I know.... it is coming, so no need to push it for sure!

Here are a few pictures from the weekend and last week. Somehow I managed to get all of this on the blog. Not sure if anymore blogging will take place this week, maybe so! It is a busy one with NYC coming up in just a few days. WOW!!!! Lost to post about I am sure. I hope everyone has a fabulous week. I am looking forward to it for lots of reasons. And...... the fact that we just found out Alabama is going to the National Championship is a good start too. The Heisman Award is going to take place in NYC while we are there. That happened to Jeremy and I a few years ago, so who knows who we will run into. Jeremy booked his room for the Championship awhile back. I guess he just knew, but I never saw him so nervous when he was waiting to hear. Now that is three trips we have coming up after Christmas within 4 weeks! WOW! I am excited because I know how much he and my dad loves to go!!!! It will be a good game for sure! Enjoy the pictures and the first one is our "tacky Christmas attire for the party"

So mad at me, but I loved her green coat and red pants
The Zoo Christmas Party today! She loved the animals!

Feeding the giraffes
Friday night Charlee Kate and I went to the Summit to do a little shopping and then to eat at Panera. She was wild! I took this picture with my phone but this is just a glimpse of how wild she was that night!
