Back to routine!

Back to normal...back to routine! I didn't love getting back into the groove (neither did Charlee Kate), but we are back in it and all is good! Jeremy was gone 4 days last week so we had to jump in fast to get things back to normal

This guy got back on his schedule, happy happy happy! We had some lunch dates with friends. However, for several days our temperatures were at freezing or below so we didn't get to enjoy too many walks
Taking a few Christmas outfit pictures for a friend

He loves Chloe and anything she does! Even if she's just eating
Charlee Kate and her friend mary carter! Play date day
On Saturday, January 10, I ran in the Red Shoe Run that's always here in Homewood. All proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald house. That holds such a special place in our family's hearts bc of Kelly and Kevin having to stay there while Hunter was in All Childrens in St.Pete. It's such a great organization and place!

The race was early and it was 19 degrees out. It took a lot of mental capabilities to finish this race ❄️❄️

Getting ready to get the race going...the sun rising was beautiful and a great reminder of what a great day it was (even if it was cold!)
After the race, after my babies were awake...they had a party in the crib! Ha!
Then...we took Beckham to the doctor to have his ears checked. He tookhis first airplane ride on Wednesday and I did not want an ear infection!
After the doctor, Jeremy came home (kept B) and CK and I were off to skating. She had so much fun. I skated for a little while but then I was pooped. The day had caught up with me

One last picture from our cabin trip! CK has cried...ready to go back! Maybe soon!!!

2014 yearly letter

This may not make it out in New Years cards but I had to do a reflection of the year 2014!

It was definitely a wonderful one! We started the year adjusting to a family of 4! Now looking back, I feel like it's always been the 4 of us. Homewood is officially "home". We love our community, walking to everything, our church, neighbors, and house. We still have lots we would love to renovate and add to the house but that's what makes this process fun! We have made it our own...our home!

I decided to stay home with Beckham this year instead of going back to teaching! I must admit there are parts of my teaching career I miss but I get to be home with Beckham and walk Charlee Kate to school each day. I get to be the room mom and see what "the other side" is like. It's a blessing and an answered prayer!

Charlee Kate did start kindergarten this year. She loves it! I thought she would but all moms worry about their first starting K! She really does take to new friends easy. I felt a little guilty because she could be "going to school with mommy" if I was working, but I have let that guilt go! This is definitely still my "mini me". Loves dresses, manis/pedis, anything girly, loves to run, loves to "mommy Beckham" and loves to organize. She has such a sweet spirit!

Beckham turned one in December. He's such a tall boy and he is definitely all boy. He loves to throw a ball, be outside, go for a walk, and adores Charlee Kate. She is so good with him and plays with him so well. I think I say this every year, but I really wish I could "bottle up" their ages and this time right now. It's priceless. I am so thankful I get to be home with him everyday! I can't ever get this time back.

Jeremy and I celebrated 13 years in 2014!! It was a busy year but we stayed on the go. We made a trip to south Florida alone. So lucky we have grandparents to keep the kids when we need a get a way. We made a family trip to the condo and several trips to the lake! Once football season started, our Saturdays were spent tailgating and going to games! That definitely keeps us going. We took Charlee Kate to Hershey's, PA and a few other places up north. That was a fun trip, one she actually remembers. One of the most exciting trips this year was when my sister and I took our girls to NYC for their 5th birthday! We lived it up! It was such a fun trip! (Lots of previous blog posts on that) Charlee kate is already ready to go back and I am always up for a trip to NYC!

In August, we lost Jeremy's dad to sicknesses he battled for a long time. It's been a tough time without him. We do know he's in a better place but that doesn't always make it easier. The memories and looking back at old videos was definitely a great way to remember him. Jeremy's mom gets to visit us often but please continue to pray for her through this adjustment. He was an amazing man and missed by his family!

I am excited to see what a new year offers. Most importantly, we pray for health, happiness, and safety!! Lots of memories to be made and days to cherish! It was a great Christmas and a great 2014. Keep up with us on the blog!!

Much love to all!!

After the fact...

Well after all the Christmas celebrations and Christmas fun...there are always a few things to get excited about! Jeremy and I always take a trip to atlanta around my birthday. We look forward to just casual shopping and a good dinner out. This year we also planned a family getaway to Mentone. We really wanted to get a way in the mountains and wanted something close by! Gatlinburg is too far and too tourist like. Park city wasn't going to happen (haha) so we picked Mentone. It's only 2 hours away and turned out to be just what we wanted! I am a city girl at heart but this 3 day getaway where there really isn't anything was exactly my speed for a few days too! I couldn't live there but it's a nice getaway!

My birthday breakfast with my 3 favorite peeps!
This little guy had an ear infection while we were in ATL! Thank goodness for grandparents! Mom took him in and got this poor guy some meds

He learned to stand up to everything and is trying to climb up the stairs. I haven't pushed any of this because I have a feeling he's going to be faster than I can keep up with
Charlee Kate and her sweet friend Leyton. She invited CK to go for a day to get manis and pedis

Heading out on a rainy day in pj's and rainboots
Off to the mountains we go! Stopping to eat at Cracker Barrel before we head up the mountain
This fire was going the whole time. Chloe loves it as much as we do
Our family saved our Christmas gifts to open at the cabin. Charlee Kate got operation so we played games while Beckham slept

Next morning....rain was gone and it was a nice day! The cold cold air had not arrived yet and it was the perfect morning for a run
Hot tub on the balcony was a huge success! CK played in that forever
Later that day we headed off hiking. I wasn't sure if kids would love it or get tired of it but they would have lasted forever. B probably would have napped if we would let him
The falls on the hike
Family selfie

We had fun climbing all the rocks!

Time to leave the cabin and head home. We weren't ready for Christmas vacation to end!

Christmas Eve and Christmas morning

This year was a fun Christmas morning with Beckham and Charlee Kate! Nana was here this year and Gammy, Pop, and my grandmother also came over. It was a fun morning and a great day! I love the spirit of Christmas
Santa Claus had to make this truck a Hammer Strength truck!

Time to open stockings from Gammy and Pop
Table was set for Christmas breakfast! My favorite part of the day
Cupcake for Jesus's birthday
Little miss blowing out the candle after we sang. Notice her beautiful make up job she did herself
A new big trampoline from Gammy and Pop
It's like a huge play pen for Beckham

Best two pictures I could snap fast 🎄

Christmas Eve morning! Breakfast with The Joneses. A long time tradition that started back when we were all kids and still continues today, years later. Now that's an amazing blessing!

Charlee Kate and Blake ready to open presents
Yes...we snapped one of all 4 kids!

Jace and Charlee Kate...

Christmas Eve church service. Right now, we go to the kids service. It's such a special service. I love to watch all the kids dress up and reinact the Christmas story.

Charlee Kate picked to be Mary
Singing Silent Night at the end

I always get sad to see Christmas come and go. It's such a fun time of the year and even CK hates to see it go. She loves our house decorated and will sing Christmas songs all day long! Time to enjoy a brand new year though 2015!
