It's All in One!

Everything that has happened (or not happened) is all in one post. It may be a couple of days before I can post again so it is all in one... enjoy a very quick update!

Well I am back after a week. I don't usually wait this long for a post, but Easter weekend took up some time, then my pictures were not great at all... too dark (URGH), then Charlee Kate and I both got the stomach bug. Yes... holidays are starting to worry me. A year and a half ago, we had it at Thanksgiving, this past Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we had it, and then Easter night we came down with it again. It is also "testing" week at my school (Tuesday through Friday), which means missing school is not an option. Good thing I had it on Monday! I was able to sleep almost the WHOLE day then take off after testing on Tuesday to be with CK. Hopefully we are all clear. I sort of feel like we have put in our time for the stomach bug and it can stay away for 5 or 6 years at least. Now for a super duper clean house too... don't think I didn't lysol and clean like crazy while she was napping. Those germs should stay clear.

Anyways, on a different note, Easter weekend was fabulous! I don't think the weather could have been anymore gorgeous. Gosh it was amazing! We enjoyed lots of relaxing, lots of time with our families, egg hunts, church with my grandparents, and just taking it easy. It was really nice having that after a busy week before and my trunk show party. Speaking of... for those readers who came (or ordered), THANK YOU! Now the show turned out to be so much fun and it was a HUGE success. I was amazed and so glad at the same time. Can't wait to see all that cute stuff when it comes in.

So it is already hump day (which is really over) and 2 more days to go this week. I knew that after Spring Break the time would fly by. I love it! Next week we have a 4 day week which is even better.

What did the Easter Bunny bring??? A cute swim"soup" as she calls it! I love this smocked suit! The Easter Bunny has the same taste as her mommy, LOL!

CHarlee Kate in Haley's Smocked dress. So special that she can wear it. I loved it on her!

Oh how I just love her piggy tails and I fell in love with this outfit. If I could just make time stand still! How many mommys have said that???
She loved looking for Easter Eggs. It was so much fun this year!
Waiting to go hunt eggs
Watching as she waits to TAKE off out in the grass to find eggs.
Picture time!

I am sure you have seen many pictures of CK with Nathan. She just loves him and he is so so sweet with her!

Charlee Kate with Nathan and his sister Amelia. Such sweet cousins!

She is looking for her "candies and monies" and she called it

Pop is helping her hunt Easter Eggs

Not the best picture, but the others were WORSE. So mad we didn't get a good family Easter picture

CHarlee Kate is SO VERY BLESSED to know her great-grands.

One day last week before school, random

Playing on the floor at SAKS. Yes she was having a blast! I couldn't help but laugh. You have to let go of those little things (like germs) every now and then, know that there is hand sanitizer to cure it, and just laugh! Live and Laugh is a great motto these days for me!

So we were shoe shopping, trying on, and Charlee Kate decided to participate. It cracked me up, especially since she found a shoe that was a similar color to hers and then neatly placed her shoes up on the display as well!

Thought I would take pictures of the shoes....

WOW, super high! Foot looks a little uncomfortable even though these are amazing!

Little more catch up!

I forgot to put these pictures in my last post. These were all "camera phone" pictures, but still cute ones from our weekend. I may not post again until the weekend, haven't had any pictures and too much happening, yet just the everyday things. My mind is going in a million directions! Sometimes I have to stop and remember, reflect!!! "The mind goverened by the flesh is death, but the mind goverened by the Spirit is life and peace" Romans 8:6. That is a good one and doesn't just apply to those big things, but the little ones too! It kind of goes with my saying "Superwoman with God on my side". They go hand in hand!!! I do have the MJ trunk show at my house tomorrow and I am super excited about that. So many cute things!!!

After the Easter weekend, I should have tons of pictures. I am so excited we have a cold front coming in and the lows will be back in the 50's and highs only in low 60's. I am probably one of the few that love this, but 80 degree temps and humidity are coming too fast. Don't get me wrong, I love love a good hard sweat when I am running or even sitting by the pool, but that is the only time I really want to sweat. Speaking of running, I got in a wonderful evening run the other night and I am so glad I can do that again because it doesn't get dark until later. I love to do runs then! I am a huge persuader of having your own "home gym"!! Believe me, we have had ours for 5 years, but it is nice to get out too and I love to run in the fall and spring outside. I don't use an IPOD or anything, that is my thinking and reflecting time and time to be ALONE or chatting with a friend. I love it. I love those big hills to run up... actually I hate them going up, but it is such a good feeling going down, LOL. I am glad I have my hills back and can tell such a difference now with endurance. So I will live it up before the summer heat and humidity get here and I have to run at 6:00 am (and still sweat like crazy b/c the humidity is so bad) or just do my own thing in the gym.

Two sweet kiddos Saturday night! We went over to eat dinner with Jenn, Michael, and the kids and let them play. We love to watch them play together. It is so cute! At this moment, we tried to get them to calm down and they were glued to Beauty and the Beast.

The Easter Egg Hunt at the park. She found candy in her eggs and was ready to open all the eggs and see what was in them. This weekend she will get to do lots of egg hunting and I know she will love it! She seems to get excited about anything new. Her energy and excitement amaze me too. Sometimes I think "ahh... just to be a toddler again would be fabulous". I wish I had the energy that she has. She is my sweet sweet baby girl!

Dying Easter Eggs. Her daddy helped out lots while I cooked a breakfast quiche in the middle of helping out too!

Weekends...

Ahh.... thank you God for such amazing weekends! Even when it is staying home, those seem to be the best!!!

I always like to say I put my Superwoman cape on for certain days/weeks/events, etc... Sometimes I say that superwoman cape gets everything done for me and keeps me sane, but I defintely couldn't be superwoman without God by my side!!! He keeps me moving and going and staying positive! That was last week for sure. How did the weekend come and go already?? It was such a great one, but really, what weekend isn't fabulous??

I do my errands during the week, grocery shopping, whatever possible because weekends are not supposed to be for those kinds of things in my book. I did spend lots of time at the grocery store because I wanted some great items to cook and bake! We were gone all of Spring Break so I didn't cook and then Jeremy was gone all last week, so now I can get back to cooking yummy, delicious, healthy meals and make a few baked goods here and there. I am not used to having an "empty kitchen" with no baked goods!!! I have a trunk show this week at my house so I see several baked goods in my near near future. Oh and I found out the new big Target is opening in 1 year and will be 1 mile from me. How exciting. Now I really have it made... the airport, malls, all the best restaurants around, all interstates, 4 hospitals, grocery, Target, and anything else I need within about 5 miles of me. Fabulous!

So Saturday.....Little under the weather, very achy, fever like... WHERE DID THIS COME FROM? But at least it was on a Saturday and I slept it off! Sometimes I think my body likes to get sick b/c I stop and do nothing for awhile. Awesome time taking CK to the Easter Egg Hunt at the park that day, then going to Jenn and Michael's for dinner and letting the kids play. So nice to be back in Bama with good old friends! Its also exciting to think we have Easter with our family and we are only an hour away. We have always been 9 hours away on Easter and we can enjoy it with the family and still make it home in the same day. Super excited. So here are a few pictures here and there. Hoping for a little less crazy week, but with an event at my house and planning for Easter, it could be a little crazy : )

She heard an airplane in the sky

I love cute smocked, but can pair it with converse, sunday shoes, flip flops, whatever. I am definitely not your traditional person, LOL. I like it all!!!

The "sort of" Easter tree. Pink bow would be better, but didn't want to fool with changing it.

Charlee Kate has fallen in love with Easter eggs. She loves them! She takes them everywhere and then after an Easter Egg hunt at Homewood Park on Saturday, she discovered that sometimes there are prizes in them. Oh she really loves them now! We decided to dye Easter eggs before church Sunday morning. She really wanted to do it all and it was hard for her to understand they would break so easily but she loved it all. She was so proud of her eggs.

Our Mornings

Our mornings are usually pretty much the same and pretty much in a regular routine. However, this week.... potty training "clicked" and that has added to our routines, but the fact that it has clicked has been a blessing!!!! Of all weeks too... the one where Jeremy was gone ALL week, started back into a routine after a vacation, and super busy at school, but.... it all worked out fabulous! I try to keep our mornings simple and in order. That means the night before, everything is laid out and ready to go!!!! It makes it easier and more pleasant for her and for me. Nothing is harder, than going to school after a hectic morning. Now, sometimes things happen here and there, but overall, the things that can be prevented are. I just have to be organized though, that is my nature.

Here are some "morning" pictures. She loves to unwind and wake up to her "shows". I understand because I have my morning shows too. I couldn't wait for her to be able to show off her Spring and Summer wardrobe. I love it!!!!! Here is one of my absolute favorite dresses!!!!

This picture was so cute, even though her eyes were closed, so I had to include it!!!!

She is looking at herself in the mirror, LOL. She loves to see the dresses she wears.

Whew... good thing I took this picture because AFTER the picture, I realized we had to re-do those piggy tails

Blue... I just LOVE blue on her! This was a favorite because it is 2 colors of blue. Of course, back in the fall, blue became my color that I wanted everything in too. She has on cute peep toe blue shoes with a big red flower on them. I had to put socks on b/c it was chilly that morning, but they are so cute on her.

One of our first days back after Vacation and heading to church. The trees and everything blooming are just GORGEOUS right now!!!

Jeremy flies back in today from Tampa, but this was the day he left. She watched him out the window. It was so sweet, yet so sad. However, we have lots of girl time together so she is good!

We had a play date at Homewood Park on Tuesday with her friend from school, Sofia. She has talked about Sofia for a long time, so I decided we needed to schedule a play date. They were so cute together and just played and played!!! They will be together for at least 2 more years in the same class if they both stay at OLS. Such sweet girls.

Fall/Spring???

I am a fall weather type of girl. I Love the leaves changing, I LOVE LOVE football, I love the anticipation of all the holidays that begin to arrive, and I love the cooler weather. However.... lately this touch of spring is exciting! (only b/c we haven't hit those ridiculous temps or humidity yet). But I love all the blooming trees and flowers, fresh air, more daylight, and of course.... I am a girly girl, so I LOVE all these bright colors that are out! That is so exciting!!!! Here are some cute cute shoes I must say. I have loved all the new spring stuff. Funny to see how some stores had horrible seasons last year, but this year they are amazing. I love it!

We are back in the swing of things and once I am in it, I am good to go, but Sunday night was rough. I have tried to keep in my mind how precious "time" is, even if it means daily routines and schedules. Our afternoons tend to be at the park, playing, or sitting on the couch and watching a show with my little girl (or even Jeremy and I enjoying 90210 or Greys). My new years resolution was to truly enjoy God's gifts and time because we never know how much we will get. Some days slip up on me, but for the most part, we enjoy our weekends and truly make the most of our time together. Speaking of time.... To end a vacation is always rough and tough, but I am on the countdown until Summer. 8 More Sundays and I can do that! Ready for some toes in the sand, days at the lake, and many days at home. We are due for a summer like that. Oh and not to forget some nice sweet treats. Do people really cut sweets out of their diet? If so, they are missing out on one of the finer things in life. Thank you God for good genes so I can keep sweets in my diet!!

Tomorrow is already hump day. A fun weekend ahead with friends, running a race, and then our usual church and local restaurant. I like a good weekend at home! I have lots of pictures of CK and will upload them tomorrow.
