Spring Break Fun!

Here are ALLLLLL of the pictures from Spring Break, but it was broken up into 3 posts so you have to read this one and the next two. The next two really give details of what all we did though.
We went out to eat with Steph and Matt the first night! We laughed until we had to call it a night. That is the kind of fun that is so uplifting! We had a blast! (This was the night I had the fish with the "head").
We took our own picture in the elevator, LOL. Not that great, but we got something.
The day we arrived in Baltimore, we ate at The Inner Harbor. It was just gorgeous!

Jeremy told them our anniversary was in a month and they sent this up. YUMMY!
After we did our "half marathon" through Baltimore we had a very late lunch at Capital Grille and ate outside. It was so nice. I could do that everyday!

I don't think this needs a caption as to what it is
This might need a caption. After running so much, Jeremy thought we needed bikes. We wanted to see part of D.C. but fast! Soooo... off we went on our bikes

After seeing the sights, we headed to Georgetown... really cool place!!! So many fabulous stores and restuarants. We had lunch at Thunder Burger and it was decorated so neat. Picture doesn't do it justice. The booths were all pink zebra or gray snakeskin. I loved it!
I HAD to put a picture of Steph and me in but it was so not good! The helmet from the bike.... after 6 hours....did not do much for my hair, LOL! We had so much fun hanging out in D.C. for about 5 hours!!! I miss this girl!
Steph took this picture after we turned our bikes in
Real cute uhh? OMG this was at the end of the day, 12 hours later from a helmet, wind, and going non-stop, but the background was cool!

My glass is half full!!!

Does vacation have to end? I know that is probably the dumbest question and really... who says "I am ready to go back to work?". I mean I do love our daily routines and usually enjoy getting back into the groove, but still not quite ready. I think we just truly needed this vacation that I want it to continue. The being with my family non-stop, sleeping, eating wonderful meals, no house work/chores/extra random things that sometimes wear us out, later workouts (beat 5:00 a.m. anyday), and the list goes on and on. It has been a true blessing to have time with our little family for several days and then Jeremy and I were able to just get away as well. To be a spur of the moment type of trip, it worked out so perfect, leaving from the beach b/c I feel like we had 2 complete vacations. Once we got home we still had 2 good days and knowing that I had absolutely nothing to do.... whew, makes it so nice and wonderful! I still think we truly appreciate this break, our time away, etc... because of what we do and what all it took to get to this point. God truly laid the path! I learned that a long time ago though!

However.... lets look at the glass half full.... the faster we get back to work, the faster Summer comes and it will be here quick! 8 weeks is really all! There were a couple of times in the year I was "wishing" for my FL school schedule, but now I am loving my AL school schedule when they will still have 2 weeks left and we are out of school. Its coming fast!

So thankful for the many blessings we had this week of gorgeous weather everywhere we went, relaxation that was much much needed, my parents for taking care of CK while we had time away (and poor baby didn't feel that good), and for the mental break I had. Awww.... to think of how far we have come in a year, so glad that this summer is not going to be so crazy like last summer. I am ready to just enjoy. Here are a few pictures that I did upload from my camera from the past week. Have a fabulous weekend!

Did I mention in my other post that Jeremy DOES NOT run past 3 miles?? If so, I have begged and begged him to! He says he put in his time in high school and college with basketball, which is fine, but every now and then I want him to be my long running partner and it takes some hard core convincing. When we were in Baltimore and did our "half-marathon", I refused to show him the GPS until we were done. I knew that was the only way to get us back to the hotel. I was super proud of him, no complaining. We were pooped when we finally had lunch at Capital Grille that day though.

Did I also fail to mention our other "kid again" game? Playing monopoly! On the Ipad of course! Technology is amazing these days! That is what we did on the plane ride there and back. It was fun and sure did make the time go by fast. I forgot how much I loved that game and how much fun it was to truly be kids again. That is what we were on our trip and it was soooo care free and fun. Well I guess we were kids "with a kid" too, LOL....

SOOOOO... I just realized I have 57 pictures. This post will be pictures with her and in a few days I will put more from our trip!

The very first beach day was just gorgeous! Its funny how you forget about the beauty of the beach and then God had it laid out perfectly this day!!!

Heading out for a night to eat and then on to Destin to shop at the outlets!

This was after several several hours of eating out, shopping, then getting yogurt! She had all her balloons and you can tell she had a good time! Time to head up and go "night night"

Just like kids again!

We have been just like kids since the moment my Spring Break started on Friday afternoon! We loaded up and left Friday afternoon and the sky is the limit. I think we just had a very long, hard working last few weeks, so we truly needed this break and I am glad it was away from home so I wasn't tempted to do random home chores. We did not get in until late Friday night and CK was excited to see the beach but ready for bed too so she really didn't see it until the next morning. I got in a wonderful run that next morning while Jeremy and CK ran to Dunkin, which the run was nice to have a different scenery, then it was off to the beach we went and I stayed all day long! While Charlee Kate was napping, I napped on the beach (oops), and Jeremy napped inside. It was so wonderful. I have yet to stop and upload the REAL PICTURES from the camera so these are all phone shots! Lucky I am even getting these up at the moment!!!
Our toes in the sand!
Having a snack with Daddy. She loved the beach, playing in the sand, the water, everything! Jeremy tried to build a sand castle but Charlee Kate didn't have the same "vision" he had. As he worked a good 15 minutes to start his fort.... she decided to go sit on all the castles he had already built. We laughed and realized, her vision was a little different.
Right before my nap on the beach, this was my view
My parents came in later that afternoon and Jeremy and I flew out early the next morning for Baltimore. It was a random pick for our trip, but I am so glad we picked it. We have had absolutely gorgeous amazing weather and it has been perfect! Here are a few pictures to show our fun so far and I will upload the camera pictures soon.

We are right by the Inner Harbor, which is beautiful. Jeremy and I do travel a lot and love to go to all kinds of new places, old places, etc... and I love to see the different areas that people live in and what their lives are like. The best way to see this is to truly run/walk a city. That is what we did today. We didn't exactly plan to do a half-marathon in Baltimore, but it turned into that somehow. Tomorrow... the train to Georgetown and DC and I hear the shopping/dining is so amazing there!!!

We met Steph and Matt for dinner last night. For those people that randomly read... I was in Steph's wedding back in Chicago in May. They are both in the secret service and their jobs amaze me. I love to hear stories!!! We had the absolute best dinner and could not stop talking and laughing. It was so much fun!!! We finally had to call it a night because Matt had a flight the next morning. I did have a wonderful fish! It was sea bass, just grilled with tomatoes and mangos on top, but the head, was not my favorite. We laughed at it forever!
Then.... Steph and I fixed the head. We covered it with bread. The waitress was dying laughing. When she took my plate after the meal, she said the chef would really appreciate this. LOL
The start of our run. How amazing and gorgeous!!! IT was so much fun!
The Ritz Carlton Residence! It was beautiful! I could live here in this place, haha

Our hotel view out of our window is of the Orioles Stadium. When we go to the gym this is what we see. Actually this picture is leaving the gym and pool one day so I took Jeremy's pic.

We ran all the way to Ft. Henry and back. Jeremy wanted to do this so I just went along because I am not a big "history person" at all!!! However, this was really interesting as we ran through the park. It was gorgeous because it was completely on the water, but to see the canons that were there back in 1812 and all the bunkers. Pretty interesting. Of course, we just looked at them and kept on running, LOL. I don't want to stop and read about it, just look at it!
Welcome Alabama!

LOTS more pictures to come soon, but it may be at the end of the week. Whenever I feel like uploading to my laptop. Until then, lots more days of fun on our trip, then back to Panama City for a few days with my baby girl. I am enjoying every minute of this break!

Moderation

OMG I could eat this little face up today!!! My "words" are at the bottom, today was not a moderation day when it comes to pictures or fanciness, LOL. I loved it all!! I was determined to take as many pictures as possible even if I Was late!

This was the first attempt at a picture. CHeck out her "ba-ba" in front of her face to keep me from taking pictures, LOL. It didn't work though!

She was warmed up now and didn't care. I had out her cute converse or the cute Pink High Tops... yes I Have them and they are adorable!!!.... but she insisted on the gold shoes and I loved it! The leggings say "Juicy Couture" in gold so they matched perfectly.

These next 2 pictures were taken with my camera phone which is why they aren't as good, but I was trying to take pictures in between breakfast, Dora, trying to get out the door, get dressed, etc... It was a crazy morning but I was bound and determined to get pictures!!!

These were taken on Wednesday when she had to wear green. The bow and shoes match! However, she was NOT going to cooperate and there was no time for worrying about it!

That word represents the amount of pictures I took this week. Instead of picture overload, it was pictures in moderation! LOL. Mainly because it was a week of working, traveling, cleaning, observations, getting ahead, packing, playing, baking, cooking, etc.... Pictures just didn't fall into the making, but there should be tons next week.

We did it! We made it to Friday. Somehow, someway, everything is ready for an exciting fun-filled trip ahead. House is spotless, no one comes in without striping their feet and anything else that brings in dirt. LOL! Laundry done, packing done, made it through a work week, errands done, whew! Also some very bright green glitter nails and toes. I need pictures of these. Love them!!! Tired, but it is all done and soooo ready for a week "off". I am sure it will fly by, but it will be well deserved for sure.

I have lots of yummy baked goods to take on our trip. That was NOT done in moderation. I am not sure why I cannot grasp that concept on moderation with baked goods. I just love them and love trying out new things. I do share them generously so I don't eat them all because Jeremy doesn't eat much of it. Luckily I have friends that do because I have had some in the past that think they can only take one bite of something. Haha, not me. I take like one of everything and eat tons! That is why I bake tons.

So the end of the school year is fast approaching! It is all downhill after Spring Break, but until then I am totally looking forward to my break. If I have a chance and feel like blogging on the break, I will. My feet will be in the sand, I will be on a sailboat out in the water (not sure what ocean that I will be in but not the Gulf), eating at some amazing places, walking an amazing city, then playing with my little girl at the beach. Ahh.... sounds absolutely fabulous! HAPPY FRIDAY!!
