Soaking it all in!

This means a lot.... we are still "soaking it in" that we are moving back home. I still receive lots of emails about it, we are so excited!!! We were also totally "soaking in" some sun this weekend. It was super hot here so we spent a lot of time at the pool. There were plenty of things that I could have been doing in the house, but we had such a great weekend at the pool and my little girl gets beside herself excited when I even mention the word "swimming pool". I just couldn't resist not taking her! We also headed to church, cooked out, went out with Kelly and Kevin (pictures to come soon) and the list goes on and on. It was a fabulous weekend!!!

On Saturday night, we went out to eat with Kelly and Kevin at this really unique restaurant in Tarpon Springs. This family owns it and they are the only ones who work there. The kids are ages 14 and 16 and they wait on the tables, the mom does the salads, and the dad is the chef. However, it has huge reviews all over Tampa and is very well known. It was so neat, but crazy to think that this is really their lives and what they do everyday. The food was very very good! Kelly and I both had fish and the guys had steak. It was super yummy!

More updates coming soon! Enjoy the pictures ; )

Charlee Kate loves to just jump in, go under, kick, anything! Last summer she LOVED the pool and wasn't afraid, but she was also a baby so I wasn't sure if she would still feel that way this summer. So far.... nothing has changed! She is like a little fish!

The big news....

Well I never ever ever thought this day would come that I could say, WE ARE MOVING BACK TO BIRMINGHAM FOR GOOD!!!!! Yes, you all heard it right, we are moving back home!!! (I bet some of you thought I was going to say I am preggo, LOL)

I have known this for QUITE some time now but did not want to post it immediately. I know I have said this before, but this time, it is happening and I couldn't be more excited! Since the first moment that I found out, I got super busy making sure all my "ducks were in a row". Charlee Kate was accepted to several schools; however, it was after Jeremy toured them and we were lucky that we hit them at the perfect registration time! Then I had the opportunity to have an interview with Homewood City Schools and was offered a position at Edgewood Elementary the very next day. WOW, to have a job and know where my baby girl is going at the beginning of March were two amazing ways I was already seeing God working in our lives. Now the ball is still rolling forward with us doing something with our house here and finding one in Birmingham. It has been a pretty peaceful process so far and I know it is because it is all working out how God would want it to work out.

I could go on and on about how this has all unfolded, but the most important part is we are moving home. I will miss a lot of things about Tampa. We have made some super great friends here and I love my shopping places, but the reasons were much stronger to go back to Bama. Here are some positives:
1. Family
2. Friends
3. WE WILL NOW have our SEASONS
4. We can go to more Alabama games
5. My favorite eating places are in the South, LOL
6. Churches and schools, I just feel like they are different back in Bama
7. Pastry Art cake bites, LOL
8. It is HOME!!!!
9. I have always wanted Charlee kate to be able to go to school in Birmingham and particularly Homewood, but I thought it would be tough to pray for a particular school system. Apparently not, because God knows all!!! Football is such a tradition in some school systems and I want her to live through that. High school football is so much fun!

Two requests if I could make them.... LOTS LOTS more Dunkin Donuts to pop up there! There are everywhere in Florida and.... my 2 favorite stores to appear in Birmingham, that is probably not going to happen though : (

So my posts will get more interesting as the weeks and months go by because there is a lot about to take place in the Wilson Family Household. Keep us in your prayers as we begin this transition process. I always knew the transition part would not be as fun, but it will all be worth it in the long run (I like to say "keeping my long term glasses on" instead of my "short term glasses").

These are just random pictures to go along with the big news, lol. This is one of Charlee Kate's new outfits, I just loved. I am NOT a Hello Kitty fan at all, but there was something about this outfit. It is very vintage looking, which is all me and when I found it at Nordstroms on my trip to South Florida, I just had to have it. I love love it on her!!!!

Look how thick that hair is getting in the back! It makes me so excited and it is definitely blonde!

Charlee Kate will not be able to walk and look for the alligators once we move back to Bama. She loves to look for the sandhill cranes, alligators, or any other creature. This is one of those days that she was a "WAL-MART baby". She had on bloomers, a random Minnie Mouse t-shirt that was mine when I was little, and her crocs. I can't believe I let her out of the house like that, but at this moment who cared. We were all walking and just enjoying a wonderful Sunday evening.

There is NO ONE like her.....

6 Years ago, I met one of my best friends. I met my friend Ashley in Tallahassee, when we both taught at Hartsfield. Those were 2 very interesting and very fun years together. Since then, we have never lost touch and always made it a point to get together. There is no one like Ashley. I always know that no matter what, I can be myself with her and I will ALWAYS get some good laughs in. She is probably the most honest person I know and she will tell me "straight up" how it is, but I love her for it. She is a great "Auntie Ashely" to Charlee Kate and knows Charlee Kate's style! LOL

On Friday afternoon, I drove to Ashley's house in Palm Beach. We went to our favorite place to eat Friday night... Bonefish.. and just laughed, talked, and played catch up. We can talk about anything from fashion, to cars, to parenthood, to teaching, to handbags, to anything. I love it because there is never a dull moment! Saturday, we headed out shopping all day and had lunch at the Grand Luxe Cafe. We were DEFINITELY in South Florida. You can tell because the shopping is amazing, but the people are very different, LOL. If you have never been to South Florida you don't know what I am talking about, but you are almost in the minority if you speak English. LOL. Its amazing how we just pick up where we left off every time. This is a true friendship and one to last a lifetime.

It was fun, too short of a trip, but I am so glad I went. I miss my friend Ashley!

It's Friday finally!

Yes this weekend is a well deserved one! It has been such a yucky rainy week and I am just ready for the weekend. We really did need the rain, which we are so thankful for, but the tornadoes we could do without. Being from Bama, I am used to tornado warnings, but we are not supposed to have them in Florida. So.... when we get them, it is very unusual and not very fun. However, we made it through them and it is a gorgeous Friday and a gorgeous weekend ahead.

I had breakfast with my little girl this morning. She has become very very attached to her mommy (and daddy too). She wants me to hold her from the minute I wake her up and it is hard not to because I just love this little angel. So sweet!!! I will leave you with a picture of her and will post again this weekend. I have new things to post but no time right now. Happy Friday!!!

What all can I get into??

Scroll to the bottom to get the "scoop" on this picture
Well it was a yucky rainy day here in Tampa!!! However, we are blessed for another great day! These are the kind of days that I think should automatically be a day off because I could accomplish so much at home on a rainy day. However, since we are back to another week, here are pictures of little Miss Priss. Miss Priss is definitely what she was this afternoon! She is growing and becoming more independent every day!!! Still.... not much hair. I keep saying it because I keep thinking it should start growing more and more every day, but it doesn't. It has grown in the back but not as much on top. I just can't picture her with hair : )

We had a fabulous weekend, but I am still one of the few, probably very very few, that misses some cool weather. These 80 degree temps came way too fast. Looking forward to another week and a great weekend ahead!!!

So here are all the items/things/activities she engaged in this afternoon:
She was going through a drawer, found all the gum, got it all out, and began unwrapping it all!

She decided to rearrange ALLLLLLL of my nail polish! At one point I thought she was color coordinating the colors then realized she was getting them out how I had them organized, LOL

Do you think I have enough OPI polish? This was only half
Last but not least she wanted a little bite of her pretzel in some icing. I let her have one bite and that was the only bite she took. Painting herself with icing was more fun so I just let her. Needless to say, we headed straight to the bathtub next

My little Model

So one of the first things that took place the very next day after we got back from Seattle was Charlee Kate's first fashion show. This was more work than I anticipated, LOL. Luckily I had mom to help out because Jeremy was sick (again). She wore the cutest little outfit and was a big show out until fashion show time. Then she wasn't too sure because of the LOUD music. It was cute though! I met these sweet ladies at Neimans awhile back when I was pregnant. From the moment she was an infant they told me as soon as she could walk they wanted her in the show, so this was the first show (since she was able to walk). It was really cute and I was so glad that she got to do it. It may be her first and last or it could be a first of many. We will see : )

She loved watching this little girl!!! They have the same glitter TOMS from Neimans
All the little kids in the show, this was a smaller show, but it was cute!
