And the vacation has to end : (

Well.... it seems like the whole week off went by in the blink of an eye!!!! How is that possible? The last day in Seattle was so much fun! I truly enjoyed my vacation. Jeremy and I always do a vacation for our anniversary. The memories are way more important than a material item and we love to just go somewhere and see new places (or even old places), so that is a tradition for us! This was a great vacation, big city, lots to do, yet we were able to relax. I never really thought Seattle would have that much to see and do, but it really did and I loved that trip!!!

I am leaving you with a few pictures of Seattle and some that my mom took while I was gone. They are sooooo cute! (of the babies of course, LOL)

There are all the pictures from the view at the Needle! I did not take nearly as many pictures as I usually do. I think I was just in relaxation mode!!! The views were gorgeous and the long dinner was fabulous too. It was so worth it and the BEST ENDING to our trip!

This was a note the hotel left for us and they were supposed to leave us cookies and milk the first night; however, they were out of them (weird) so we got all kinds of nuts and fruit. It was very yummy! They knew Jeremy was sick b/c she said they would send up wine, but I opted for cookies and milk, LOL.
I have tons of pictures from the Neiman Marcus Fashion show! Those are still to come this week!!!

Seattle by Ferry.... was the next stop!

**KEEP IN MIND*** This post was written yesterday (Thursday) but I never sent it. Now I am flying home and had time to send it because I am on the plane. You have to love in flight wi-fi!!!

Time to head into the city! It is so fascinating to see how different God creates the world. Everything here is just so different from what we are used to in the South. I have made several trips to the West Coast so I have seen this, but it is always so different no matter where we go. Some of it is so nice to see and visit because I would not want my everyday life to be like this.

The ride on the ferry was exciting. We drove our car up, parked it on the ferry, then it took about 40 minutes into the city. It was gorgeous as we were able to see the view of the city skyline coming in.
What the ferry looks like that we took in

Here is one view but this is basically how all the houses looked in Seattle. They all sat on the hill.
This day it was raining as we pulled onto the Ferry. The picture below is where we park our cars on the boat while we went upstairs. They had a restuarant, free wi-fi, etc... up there. I guess that is what some people do every day, drive their car on the boat, eat on the boat, surf the internet on the boat, WOW... just another way of life.
Riding on the ferry!

After arriving, we drove through the city stopping at several places along the way. We ended up at the University Shopping Center, which has great shops. We ate lunch at a cool sushi place there. Very Different. We didnt realize how many asians lived in seattle so the asian cuisine is pretty good no matter where you stop.

This was not your normal Tiffany & C. It was all "wood" looking, very different.
Our really cool sushi place!
After a fabulous lunch and the organic mini donuts they had...which were quite yummy...we headed to urgent care. Yes jeremy had been sick for 4 days so we went to get him some meds. Turns out he tested negative for the flu, but had bronchitis and could have had a mild case of the flu. However, the doctor prescribed meds so we got them! He has visited the ER before in New York City so this was just par for the course. I found a drugstore by the hotel to get meds. There just happened to be the flagship Nordstroms right next door as well. No problem waiting for meds... I just took a little time to shop. We were tired by the end of that day (Tuesday) so we were in bed early. We are staying at a fabulous hotel that is literally 1 block from every store and every place imaginable! That was soo exciting!

Wednesday involved just walking the city. Despite all the weather reports, it was gorgeous all day! We shopped, shopped, shopped, ate at Pike Place Market, and walked about 8 miles.

The very first Starbucks ever. This was pretty neat to see

It was super nice. I haven't been able to just walk in anywhere and shop on my own time in awhile. Jeremy was feeling so much better and had more energy than he had in days. It was nice that our first couple of days were at the resort just relaxing. I can't tell you the last time I had 12 hours of sleep 2 days in a row. It probably won't happen again for awhile, LOL

Today... Thursday, was just finishing up whatever we wanted to do in the city. Being 3 hours behind makes me feel like I have all the time in the world! I am up by 5:00 or 5:30 West Coast time b/c that is 8:00 or 8:30 East Coast time. Then we are in bed by 7:00 West Coast time, yet I have all this extra time!!! In a few.... Jeremy wants to watch some of the b'ball games, while I maybe shop across the street, then dinner at the Seattle Needle! Can't wait for that! It will be a great way to end the trip.
We stopped to eat the famous Beechers where they make their own cheese. It was amazing to watch, but I didn't eat too much of my meal. Something about seeing the process of cheese being made was not very appetizing.

This was the last picture I took throughout the day shopping... of course a favorite place to stop in, but it was a nice looking LV. Never hurts to go in... you never know what you may find! I liked it : )

We fly out super early tomorrow morning, which I am so thankful for. I can't wait to get home and see my baby girl! I have a feeling she will have a hard hard time when her Gammy leaves. Saturday is a big day for her... her first fashion show at Neiman Marcus. We will see how she does : )

More posts to come... but that is all I have in me for now!

First stop = relax

The pictures make this look like some "cabin" place. Well it is far far from it, definitely your resort and spa. Reminds me of what a "yoga" place would be like. All the calm, serene music everywhere you go and it all smells so fresh and clean. Just amazing!!!

We left sunny 75 degree Florida for 50 degree cold Seattle. To MOST of you, that probably doesn't sound good, but to me, I LOVE IT! I get the Florida weather all the time and so I was ready for some good cool weather and for something different.

It all started with a 5 hour plane ride that I thought I was going to have anxiety about. Turns out, it was super relaxing and fabulous! I slept, watched movies, drank coffee, and read magazines! Once we arrived in Seattle, we waited on luggage and realized that Jeremy's bag was 3 hours behind us. Never fear.... we got a free lunch out of it and time to make my first trip to Seattle's malls. I was okay with the fact that his bag didn't make it, LOL!

Next stop, a resort and spa about an hour outside of the city. This was where we would stay for 2 nights. OMG, it was just heaven! I walked in and this is what I saw.... a fireplace. WOW, a fireplace is heaven for me because we don't get to see that much in Florida.

PEACE and QUIET! Just heaven! It reminded me sooooo much of Kennebunk Port, Maine. Exactly 2 years ago, Jeremy and I took a trip to Kennebunk Port and Boston. Just copy and paste this blog if you want to catch up on what my trip was like 2 years ago, it was one of the best trips ever. (http://watchasthewilsonfamilygrows.blogspot.com/2009/04/pictures-are-up.html) It was one of my favorite trips we have ever taken and this trip is sort of similiar. We did the resort and spa outside of the city for 2 days before doing our fun big city adventures.

The resort is on the canal, has gorgeous views of the mountains, work out room, 4-star restaurant, and then the spa and pool of course. Here you will notice all the pictures of the resort. There are not any pictures of us in them because our day consisted of sleeping, working out, and going to the spa. Nothing in there required me to get ready so therefore, I did not need to appear in pictures, LOL!

The massage was truly amazing! This lady hit every sore spot and I needed that. I haven't had anyone hit those neck spots in forever! I think my neck got so messed up from 6 years ago when I had a wreck in my very FIRST Rover. That car saved my life from a very bad wreck, but I think that wreck messed up my neck.

Happy Vacation to me!!!

Today officially begins my vacation, I cannot even BEGIN to say how excited I am! This week has been absolutely insane! Well the last 2-3 weeks have and I need this vacation more than ever. There are lots of reasons why.... some of them, I will wait and post about in a few weeks so... keep checking back with my blog!!!

This week has been challenging "health wise". Charlee Kate came down with double ear infections that were bad! From there, she now has a horrible cough, and horrible diarhhea from the meds. I have never had my little girl so miserable and not sleep well! This has been worst than teething and my baby girl sleeps with no problem unless it is her teeth and she is hardly ever sick so this week was challenging. However, I think we have her on the road to recovery! It is so wonderful to see her back to her old self. My mom gets into Tampa sometime tomorrow. We are super excited about her coming in. She will be keeping Charlee kate while Jeremy and I take a MUCH MUCH MUCH needed vacation away. As much as I will miss my baby girl terribly, this is a much needed vacation. I am sure Charlee Kate will enjoy every minute possible with her Gammy and cousins.

So....... Maybe I will blog some here and there on the vacation, not sure. I just have to see what I feel like. If not, I will have plenty to report when I get back. Happy Spring Break!!!! These are the only recent pictures I have this week because of all the craziness!!

I Heart Weekends, even busy ones!

Nothing fancy about this Post Title, but boy was I happy for the weekend! Its been a busy one, but one week from today I will be preparing for a superfabulous Spring Break and time away in Seattle!!! I can't wait! So I can make it for one more week, even if that means all the events taking place between now and then.

The weekend involved another trip to South Tampa, probably my most favorite place. I think my car has autopilot to International Mall. My car knows it as a 2nd home. I wanted another pair of really cute running shoes. I have a pair of purple ones and they are my absolute favorite so to keep them from wearing out I needed an alternate pair, but these that I got are super duper cute too! I might just have to post a picture of them. After all, I am a shoe girl (boot girl especially) so I have to keep my running shoes in style. LOL

My Charlee Kate loves to look at water, birds, animals, anything! I see "The Animal Kingdom" trip in her near future
Mae and Charlee Kate taking a walk
She was in her zone playing with her kitchen and her baby dolls. She was cooking for them, putting them in their high chair, and loving it all.

Friday we had a play date with Jacki and Mae. The girls had so much fun! Look at all that hair Mae has and she has my most favorite hair style for kiddos... the piggy tails. I can't wait until Charlee Kate can wear piggy tails!

Charlee Kate had her 18 month check up on Friday. She is doing great, 80th percentile for heighth and 97 percentile for her head, LOL. Lots of room for her brains! She is saying so much and super healthy! We couldn't be more blessed!

Chick for a day!

Oh I just couldn't resist the last 2 days! I just loved her in her sweet sweet outfits! The smocked definitely has growing room, but I still let her wear it. The "chicky outfit" is a little early, but since it is March, I figured we were okay to wear it!!

This was our afternoon yesterday.... taking a ride in the wagon to look for ducks, birds, and alligators. It is her favorite thing to do!
